What We Ordered

Iced Latte w/ dark roast espresso blend (left) and Single Origin Light Roast double shot (right)

  • Iced Latte with their espresso blend – My wife loves iced lattes but she likes her drinks on the sweeter side so she had to add in more gum syrup, provided for free through self-serve. I thought it was fine without the syrup. The milk was super creamy and rich, very typically in high-quality spots in Japan, and the coffee was boldly roasted to stand up to the great milk. I also really appreciated the size of the ice cubes and the size of the latte. They didn’t fill it up with milk so the ratio of coffee to milk was a lot higher. It was a very balanced latte. The flavors were expected, but the magnitude of flavor was bolder than expected. It was a very well-executed standard latte. Rating – 7.8/10
  • Single Origin Light Roast double shot – I got the natural Ethiopian light roast espresso and it was right up my alley. I love high acidity and fruit in my coffees and it was a nice break from the traditional coffee styles in Japan. It had salient notes of raspberry and citrus. It was also full-bodied but not too heavy on the palate. Rating – 8.2/10

Conclusion – It was a nice coffee shop and worth walking out of the way for, especially because we didn’t have breakfast plans. It wasn’t that long of a wait and it’s worth a stop, especially if the weather is nice. They have well-executed drinks and I’m a fan of the aesthetic. It looks like an apartment room with the wall removed to serve customers.

Overall Rating – 8.0/10
